He achieved his PhD research in the School of Computer Science at Bangor University in January 2008. Following up his PhD research, he worked as a research officer in the School of Computer Science at Bangor University. In late 2008, he joined the APIS team (Analyis of irregular Processes, Images and Signal, applications to biology and medicine) at INRIA Saclay—Île-de-France (the French national research institute in computer science and automation). In January 2010, Dr Vidal joined the Department of Radiation Oncology of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). In mid-February 2011, he joined the AVIZ (analysis and visualization) team at INRIA Saclay—Île-de-France. Dr Vidal was awarded a lectureship position at the School of Computer Science at Bangor University, and he is a member of the Visualization and Medical Graphics (VMG) Group and of the Research Institute of Visual Computing (RIVIC). His research area is mainly focussing on computer graphics, visualisation, GPU programming, evolutionary algorithms, and medical physics (inc. X-ray imaging, tomography, interventional radiology, and radiotherapy).

Julien achieved his scientific Baccalaureat in 2008 with highest honours, and integrated the Grande École ENSTA ParisTech in 2011 after three years of Preparatoty School in Bordeaux. In Summer 2013, he worked in the School of Computer Science at Bangor University as research student for three months. After working in Bangor, Julien will return to ENSTA ParisTech for his final year of French engineering degree (eq. MSc) in Information Technologies.

Mr Adrien Dutertre
ENSTA ParisTech (France)
Adrien achieved his scientific Baccalaureat in 2009 at Auxerre in Burgundy, and integrated the Grande École ENSTA ParisTech in 2011 after two years of Preparatoty School in Paris. In Summer 2013, he worked in the School of Computer Science at Bangor University as research student for three months. After his research internship in Bangor, Adrien will return to ENSTA ParisTech for his final year of French engineering degree (eq. MSc) in Information Technologies.
